Welcome!

Hi! My name is Emilie Ravain, and I am a May 2023 graduate of the Louisiana State University Manship School of Mass Communication. After completing my degree in three years, I graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in public relations with a minor in business administration. I most recently served as team captain of the LSU PRSSA Bateman Team where we placed third nationally out. I also received the LSU Distinguished Communicator Medal. I am seeking employment in the areas of corporate event planning, sponsorships and event promotion.

I am currently employed by two New Orleans-based wedding planners. For Ashleigh Elizabeth Weddings and Events, I lead all wedding logistics and develop detailed timelines. For Bailey Rose Weddings and Events, I am a day-of coordinator. I have previously held a junior associate internship at Spears Group, an advertising and strategic communications firm. Here, I worked within the festival event planning and public relations divisions.

In addition to my studies and work, I was involved in Greek life as a member of Delta Zeta. I also served as the assistant director of programming for LSU’s Student Government and was a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America. I volunteered as a team captain for LSU’s Dance Marathon, which raised more than $200,000 for the Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital. I was also a member of the Phi Eta Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Societies.
