Philanthropic Events

I was selected to serve as the Dance Marathon Team Captain for LSU's Student Government team. I recruited team members and organized fundraising events that raised $5,200 of the $200,000 organization total for Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital.

I organized a cross-organizational jambalaya fundraiser earning $2,000 for the philanthropies involved. This benefitted Phi Kappa Phi, LSU Kiwanis and Delta Zeta's Miss LSU Pageant benefitting speech and hearing philanthropies.

I worked on the outreach committee to plan giveback nights at local restaurants. A percentage of each order was donated to our chapter. I designed graphics and promoted the events on social media.

My sorority, Delta Zeta, puts on a baseball tournament each year to fundraise for our speech and hearing philanthropies. I was a captain for my fraternity team. I organized practices and helped them compete in the tournament.

For our spring philanthropy event, Delta Zeta hosts the Miss LSU Pageant. All fundraising efforts support our speech and hearing philanthropies. Each year, I raised $200 to benefit the Starkey Hearing Foundation and the Emerge Center.

Delta Zeta helps donate to the Painted Turtle Camp which is a camp for children with serious medical conditions can go to just be kids, free of charge. For my service hour project, I chose to package art supplies bags and ship to the camp for the children to enjoy.
