Leadership

LSU Student Government:
Assistant Director of Programming
I served as assistant director of programming in the 2021-2022 school year for LSU Student Government. I assisted in the coordination of programs and events for the entire LSU student body. I coordinated events like "Breakfast on the Geaux" where we distributed 700 breakfast tacos to passing students and discussed Student Government. I contacted vendors, assisted with graphic design work and distributed information on social media accounts. We also coordinated "Jiigaerobics" which was a high-speed dance class for the student body. I assisted with contacting instructors and booking a venue for the event.

LSU Student Government:
Freshman Leadership Council
Based upon my high school leadership and academic career, I was selected from the LSU incoming class of 2024 to serve on the freshman leadership council. We presented initiatives to LSU board members to improve campus life for the student body. Our initiative, entitled "Geaux Off", was designed to help students have a smoother transition as they go into college. We detailed ideas to promote campus safety and sexual health awareness. We presented our initiative to LSU board members like Dr. Common and Jeremiah Shinh. Our initiative is currently with LSU Senate and pending review for funding as of 2023.

LSU 2023 Bateman Team:
Team Captain
After a lengthy review process, I was selected by Manship School of Mass Communication faculty to represent the school as a member of the six-person LSU 2023 Bateman team. I was then elected by members to serve as team captain. The Bateman Case Study Competition is the Public Relations Society of America's premier national case study competition for public relations students to create an implement a full campaign. We worked with our client, News Literacy Project, to spread awareness on fake news by educating through entertainment. We did this by implementing five main events, table sits, surveys, focus groups, interviews and more.
